Hi Kimberly,
I'm still feeling like a 2nd Life newbie. Have so little time to explore in depth. But I've been SO impressed with what I've done/where I've been so far. Thanks for all your hard work pulling this together.

Thanks for the warm welcome Kimberly.

I'm excited to see the group grow in SL and I'm thrilled that a hunt has been put together! It's always great to see new places in SL & then make connections to the materials available via PBS.

Thank you for the welcome. I don't know if I will take part in the grid hunt (time constraints) but I wanted to be part of the PBS Group :-) I am a PBS Teacher Leader and I teach for PBS TeacherLine. I have also been working on the Teacher Connect site under the arts. I am excited to see PBS take part in SL. I have been in SL since 2006 and run the Teacher Networking Center. I am looking forward to working with everyone.

I just attended the Virtual Pioneers group meeting in Second Life - a meeting for Social Studies teachers from across the globe - hosted on Kathy Schrock's Lighthouse Learning Island by the Western Region of New York State Technology Consortium. They are just getting started for an incredible year - and I'd encourage you to look them up.

Stop by the Ning they have for more information or go explore Lighthouse Learning in SL!

My winter break is over :-( as I have returned a week early to set up a new K-8 library. I have a houseful of in-laws and limited access to a computer, so I will have to join your intriguing hunt as soon as I am able.

Anticipation!

In honor of not watching a pot and wait for it to boil, I had to look away and hope that Malinda and I would have some company on this venture into Second Life with PBS Teachers support. I can't tell you how excited both of us were to find some fearless educators to have joined us this morning!

We have tried to use Web 2.0 tools that some joining us may have not yet tried. You can check for a clue on Twitter or follow our Twitter (www.twitter.com/pbsteachers) and you can subscribe to the discussions in our Ning here if you wish to receive notices by email. If your inbox is like mine, you may not think that tool is all that exciting ;)

We've incorporated a badge you can add to your facebook account. You can bookmark your resources you find from PBS within PBS Teachers Connect. You can explore well beyond our hunt locations in Second Life. Just make sure you watch the clock! Before you know it 8:30 will be 9:45 and then 10:30. The prims in Second Life can really suck you in :)

Thank you again for joining us! I look forward to collaborating with all of you over the next few weeks! Cheers and Merry Christmas!
