This is seen as one of the final scientific frontiers and as much of a mystery as deep space. It covers 75% of the Earth's surface and holds incredible clues to the history of our planet as well as the history of species that have inhabited it.

I was amazed to see all the nuclear dumping sites on the map provided at the Abyss site in SL. I tried to follow up on this topic through PBS Teachers but could not find any resources, though there were several for water pollution and plenty of teaching resources regarding the ocean.
