The US headed into a race to be the best in this scientific area under President John F. Kennedy. Today, the US collaborates internationally to conduct exploration of this final frontier.

I am not a fan of astronomy - I can't get my head around it,,it freaks me out. Even visiting the virtual Space Museum gave me some shivers up my spine. About the only way I can relate to the topic at all is through history and the political implications of space travel or via a new episode of Dr. Who.
